ABOUT THE LUM FAMILY AND THE FOOD:

Taste of Asia Restaurant is a family owned operation.  We discovered Sarasota back in 1997, fell in love and returned many times.  We first opened our doors in Downtown Sarasota back in October 2005. 

Chef Lam makes all of his sauces from "SCRATCH" from imported and domestic ingredients; right down to the chilli.  The flavors and recipe of Chef Lam's is created specifically not to be duplicated.  You will not have had the same taste elsewhere, that's because of the uniqueness of his sauce.  Each and every dish is personally prepared by Chef Lam himself; wether it's the starter soups or the appitizer or the main meals.  With this unique cooking process, he needs time, patience and understanding from our very special customers. 

 We know that is why we often have repeating customers whe refers us to their family and friends.  They know the quality and freshness of their meals is made for "them" individually and not for multiple people.  We can just about accomodate any eating health dietary needs; like "Vegan Safe", Gluten Free", or "No Spice".  Just ask Selina, Nikki and Katrina (Chef Lam's family), if he "CAN", he will! 

We know we are successful because of Sarasota's warm welcome, thus we have moved our operation to Siesta Key, where this well be Chef Lam's new home.
